Green Plumbers is a global brand formed by the Master Plumbers & Mechanical Services Association (MPMSAA) in Australia in 2000, as a result of the severe drought that continues in that country today. The Green Plumbers curriculum was developed in conjunction with RMIT University (Melbourne) and the Australian Greenhouse Gas Office.

Green Plumbers is one of the Green Invest Group of companies. Green Invest is a publicly listed Australian Company on the Australian stock exchange (GNV).  Green Invest has the vision of developing the world’s leading environmental services and commodities company.

In 2000, the Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia (MPMSAA) identified the need to train Australia’s plumbers in green technologies to combat the effects of climate change. The Green Plumbers program was established and is now recognized internationally as being at the forefront of training and the installation of water and energy saving products.  In 2008 the commercial arm of Green Plumbers was acquired by Green Invest Ltd. GreenPlumbers environmental training and licensing is now being implemented in Australia, the USA, Canada, India, China, and New Zealand.
