Background
Doug Kirk is a second generation plumber with almost 40 years in the trade. After 6 years working as a service and repair plumber, he started his own business in 1975 adding new construction plumbing. In 1980 he began teaching the San Diego Community College ROP Plumber Training Classes, writing the training material for Metro and East County classes. He was credentialed in 1982 (California Community Colleges Limited Lifetime Service Credential) He joined the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association the same year, progressing through the local leadership and was president twice.
1984 saw the opening of a plumbing store in El Cajon, CA and the beginning of the ongoing involvement with the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, writers of the Uniform Plumbing Code. In 1988 his firm won 1st place in a nationwide plumbing marketing challenge and was again recognized from 1991 through 1993 as one of the top 100 firms in the US.
In 1993 he chaired a sub-committee for the CAPHCC Plumber Certification program, writing most of the exam materials based in the UPC and developing the class preparation materials for other instructors. The materials are updated every three years.
With wide ranging plumbing experience and over 6800 actual classroom hours, he is uniquely qualified to bring the GreenPlumbers message to the trade.
Gary Klein

Background
Gary Klein has been intimately involved in energy efficiency and renewable energy since 1973. One fourth of his career was spent in the Kingdom of Lesotho, the rest in the United States. Mr. Klein has a passion for hot water: getting into it, getting out of it and efficiently delivering it to meet customer's needs. He currently works in the Demand Analysis Office at the California Energy Commission working with the California Public Utilities Commission on the evaluation, measurement and verification of the investor-owned utilities' energy efficiency programs. Mr. Klein received a BA from Cornell University in 1975 with an Independent Major in Technology and Society with an emphasis on energy conservation and renewable energy.
John Koeller

Background
John Koeller is a professional engineer with extensive experience in water-efficient technologies and products. Nationally recognized in the U.S. and Canada as a water efficiency specialist, Mr. Koeller is a consultant to numerous water providers, green building organizations, and private sector firms. He is a technical advisor to both the California Urban Water Conservation Council as well as the newly formed U.S.-Canadian Alliance for Water Efficiency. He is also co-developer of Maximum Performance (MaP) testing for toilet fixtures, the highly successful initiative dealing with water-efficient product performance.
Tara Reynaud

Background
Tara Reynaud has been demonstrating her knowledge of the plumbing industry for the past sixteen years working for Kohler Company; delivering presentations to plumbing contractors, architects, mechanical engineers, mechanical contractors, designers and distributors. Tara is an active member of the US Green Building Council, ASPE (The American Society of Plumbing Engineers), and the Urban Land Institute. Tara takes a technical and non-technical approach to plumbing fixtures, design, installation, and current statewide codes, so that everyone that her audience has a clear understanding of the topic at hand. Her techniques include power point presentations, as well as hands-on materials to maximize her audience's understanding of the category and to ensure everyone takes away a real world application of the information. Tara is passionate about and has studied Green Building for the last five years and has achieved several credentials along the way. Her experience in front of audiences includes 15+ years of professional acting in television and film. A list of acting credits is available upon request.
Eddie Wilcut

Background
Eddie Wilcut is the Conservation Manager for the San Antonio Water System. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Management and a Masters of Applied Geography from Texas State University.
Since 1998, Eddie has helped to develop one of the most effective and aggressive water conservation programs in the United States. These programs have helped to earn the San Antonio Water System such honors as the Texas Chapter of the American Water Works Association's (TAWWA) Water Conservation and Reuse Award, the Texas Water Conservation Association's (TWCA) Conservationist of the Year, and the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP) 2004 President's Environmental Excellence Award.
Eddie has published more than three-dozen articles on Residential, Commercial and Industrial Water Conservation, covering such topics as Condensate Recovery, Cooling Tower Efficiency, Rainwater Harvesting and ICI Program Development that have been published in a variety of trade journals and conference proceedings across the United States.
Patrick Scheper

Patrick (Pat) Scheper, with his wife Sue, own and operate Apple Plumbing & Heating, Inc. Pat has been in the Plumbing Industry for 41 years starting in his dad’s business at the age of 14. Pat is a Master Plumber and Gasfitter licensed in Maryland.
Apple Plumbing is a small, family owned business located in Westminster, MD specializing in Residential and Commercial service and remodeling. Pat holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Towson State University and subsequently pursued a Mechanical Engineering degree from Johns Hopkins.
In addition to being a Certified Instructor for GreenPlumbers, Pat is licensed with GreenPlumbersUSA and is a Charter Member of the Sustainability Committee for Carroll County and lectures at various sustainability expos and local community colleges.
Pat & Sue have completed all five GreenPlumbers USA workshops and are actively taking their Company GREEN.
Joey Schwab

Background
Joey Schwab owns and operates two plumbing companies in Sarasota, Florida. S&S Plumbing, Inc. and Bob Rizi Plumbing. Joey is a second generation Master Plumber, licensed in the state of Florida.
Joey is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduation he started in the Plumbing trade with his Father’s company and has continued to find innovative ways to remain a leader in the Sarasota area.
Taking a proactive approach to promote conservation, Joey partnered with EPA WaterSense. Becoming a licensed GreenPlumber and certified instructor for GreenPlumbers is yet another step in the direction of educating customers and colleagues to create a more sustainable environment.
