GreenPlumbers® Introduces 'Train the Trainer' Program
December 8, 2008
SACRAMENTO, CA: GreenPlumbers®, the program that turns plumbers into advocates for the environment, is expanding! Good news for the planet, for plumbers, and for homeowners and businesses wanting to use green technology and know-how to save money, water and energy – and even better news for organizations that want to spearhead the green plumbing movement in their own communities.
In early 2009, GreenPlumbers will launch its 'Train the Trainer' program: a five-part, 40-hour course enabling participants to become Certified GreenPlumber Program Trainers. Open to associations, universities and tech schools, unions, trade groups and other organizations, the Train the Trainer program is an effective way to deliver GreenPlumbers training courses faster and more frequently to areas throughout North America. As they implement training at their own facilities, local organizations can become community leaders in sustainable training -- enabling more water and energy efficient solutions in homes nationwide.
The first 'Train the Trainer' program will be held in Sacramento, Calif., February 2-6, 2009. Registration for the weeklong course is $1,295 (excluding transportation and lodging). Additional courses will be launched around the country throughout 2009. For more information about the 'Train the Trainer' program, contact Carrie McChesney at carrie@greenplumbersusa.com or (888) 929-6207.
The GreenPlumbers® training and accreditation program is open to all recognized plumbers and contractors. The program is partnered with the EPA's WaterSense program, the Alliance for Water Efficiency, the California Center for Sustainable Energy, the California Urban Water Conservation Council, and many more industry leaders in its mission of bringing environmental training to plumbers.
