PHCC Highlights GreenPlumbers at Connect '09 and State Workshops
October 16, 2009
SACRAMENTO, CA: The Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors are turning “green” in a big way! During the month of October, PHCC- National Association and state PHCC associations in Illinois and Texas have hosted or will host eight GreenPlumbers workshops – with seven more coming up at the Florida PHCC in November!
The PHCC National Association has chosen CONNECT ’09, the Association’s Annual Convention, as the site of GreenPlumbers’ highly-acclaimed Inspection Report Service and Solar Hot Water workshops on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Sheraton New Orleans. Contractors and plumbers attending the New Orleans workshops will receive an excellent education from two of the best Certified GreenPlumbers instructors in the country – John Klesaris and Kirk Alter – plus the added opportunity to participate in a tremendous plumbing industry convention.
PHCC of Illinois and Texas have been busy with GreenPlumbers workshops as well. Climate Care was held on Oct. 3 in Houston, TX, with another just-completed series on Oct. 15-16 in Buda, TX that included Water Efficient Technology, Solar Hot Water I and II and Climate Care. In Bloomington, Illinois, instructor John Klesaris held a Climate Care workshop on Oct. 6.
GreenPlumbers USA President Megan Lehtonen views PHCC associations as critical to the spread of the GreenPlumbers’ conservation message. “PHCC-NA and their affiliated state and local chapters have the ability to offer GreenPlumbers courses in convenient time slots for technicians and contractors, and the association offices can also become third-party assessment centers,” said Lehtonen. “PHCC members are fortunate to have their Association at the forefront of the green movement.”
Aside from GreenPlumbers workshops, CONNECT ‘09 will include a full-day trade show, an in-depth industry manufacturer panel, dynamic speakers, and seminars.
Can’t make it to New Orleans? PHCC of Florida will sponsor a series of all fiveGreenPlumbers accreditation workshops in St. Petersburg, Florida. The series will run from Nov. 3 to Dec. 10 and will feature Caring For Our Water, Water Efficient Technology, Climate Care, Solar Hot Water and Inspection Report Service. Class size is limited to 30, so attendees should sign up early.
The GreenPlumbers® training and accreditation program is open to all recognized plumbers and contractors. For more information on these or upcoming classes, or to find a GreenPlumber in your area, visit www.greenplumbersusa.com.
